Job summary

Eswari Constructions in Tamil Nadu is seeking a seasoned Procurement Manager to plan and execute purchase strategies for construction materials, tools, equipment and consumables across projects.

You will build reliable vendor networks, negotiate prices and payment terms, prepare Purchase Orders, track deliveries, monitor quality and ensure procurement stays within budget while coordinating with Project Managers, Site Engineers and Accounts.

Qualifications

• B.E./Diploma/Degree in Civil or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in construction material procurement/purchase management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage procurement of construction materials, tools, equipment and consumables as per project requirements.
• Identify and develop reliable suppliers/vendors and maintain good vendor relationships.
• Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Prepare Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers and Stores for material requirements.
• Monitor material quality, quantity and specifications before acceptance.
• Maintain proper records of purchase orders, quotations, invoices, delivery challans and vendor details.
• Track material stock and site requirements to avoid shortage or excess purchasing.
• Follow up with vendors for pending orders, delayed deliveries and replacements.
• Ensure procurement is within the approved budget and company policies.
• Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, price, delivery and service.
• Coordinate with Accounts team for invoice verification and payment processing.
