Job summary

buildAhome is seeking a seasoned Purchase Manager to handle procurement of cement, steel, sand, TMT bars, bricks, tiles, and other building materials for residential projects. You will create and manage purchase orders, develop vendor strategies, and ensure timely delivery of quality materials.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve material availability and quality issues, while driving cost efficiencies and supplier relationships for ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• 10-20 years of experience in Purchase Management (building material procurement).
• Strong knowledge of building materials (cement, steel, sand, TMT bars, bricks, tiles).
• Proficiency in creating POs and managing purchase orders.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for building materials, including cement, steel, sand, TMT bars, bricks, tiles, sanitary ware, aggregate, ready mix concrete, construction material, PO creation & purchase order management.
  
• Develop new vendor development strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
  
• Oversee all aspects of material procurement for residential projects from planning to execution.
  
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials at competitive prices while maintaining relationships with vendors.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to material availability and quality.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 10-20 years of experience in Purchase Management (only experienced in Building Material Procurement).
  
• Any Graduate or Diploma holder in Any Specialization.
  
• Strong knowledge of building materials such as cement, steel, sand, TMT bars, bricks, tiles etc. .
  
• Proficiency in creating POs & managing purchase orders effectively.
