Job summary

ASTIKA SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a Purchase Manager for Procurement & Supply Chain. The role oversees the P2P cycle, enforces internal procurement policies, and coordinates with domestic vendors to ensure on-time export readiness.

The candidate will lead vendor negotiations, optimize procurement costs, and manage regulatory documentation, import permits, and loan license manufacturing coordination. Strong ERP and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Procure-to-Pay cycles and ensuring compliance with SOPs.
• Strong vendor sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation capabilities.
• Exposure to WHO-GMP regulations and regulatory documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle with domestic manufacturers for export formulations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with 30+ domestic pharmaceutical vendors and lead negotiations.
• Identify, onboard WHO-GMP-compliant manufacturers under Loan License, coordinate production planning with partners.
• Source ready-stock products per business needs and handle import permits and regulatory processes.
• Coordinate monthly export shipments with CHA agents and logistics partners; track schedules and resolve issues.
• Lead and mentor procurement staff; ensure timely PO execution and documentation.
• Maintain inventory levels and regulatory/compliance documentation; support audits.

Position: Purchase Manager – Procurement & Supply Chain (P2P)

Location: Chembur, Mumbai

Industry: Pharmaceuticals / Export Business

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:-

Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Management :-

• Manage the complete Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, ensuring seamless coordination with domestic manufacturers supplying finished formulations for export markets.
• Monitor procurement processes from purchase requisition through payment closure.
• Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies and SOPs.

Vendor Management & Cost Optimization :-

• Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with 30+ domestic pharmaceutical vendors.
• Conduct vendor evaluations based on quality, pricing, compliance, and delivery performance.
• Lead vendor negotiations and implement cost-saving initiatives to achieve measurable procurement efficiencies.

Loan License & Manufacturing Coordination :-

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard WHO-GMP-compliant pharmaceutical manufacturers under Loan License arrangements.
• Coordinate production planning and scheduling with third-party manufacturing partners.
• Ensure timely product availability aligned with export commitments.

Procurement & Regulatory Coordination :-

• Source ready-stock pharmaceutical products as per business requirements.
• Manage import permit documentation and related regulatory processes.
• Handle tender-based procurement activities and commercial evaluations.

Logistics & Supply Chain Operations :-

• Coordinate 5–7 monthly export shipments by working closely with CHA agents, transporters, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.
• Track shipment schedules and ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
• Resolve logistics-related issues to maintain supply continuity.

Team Leadership :-

• Supervise and mentor junior procurement personnel.
• Ensure timely execution of purchase orders and procurement documentation.
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiency within the procurement function.

Inventory & Compliance :-

• Ensure adequate inventory availability while minimizing excess stock.
• Maintain compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and quality standards.
• Support audits and documentation requirements related to procurement and supply chain activities.

Required Skills & Competencies :-

• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical procurement and third-party manufacturing processes
• Expertise in vendor sourcing, management, and commercial negotiations
• Knowledge of WHO-GMP requirements and pharmaceutical regulatory standards
• Experience in export logistics and supply chain coordination
• Strong analytical, planning, and cost-optimization abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Leadership experience with team supervision and development
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Experience:-

• 5–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement, supply chain, sourcing, or P2P operations
• Experience working with export-oriented pharmaceutical businesses
• Exposure to Loan License manufacturing arrangements and regulatory documentation.
