Job summary

Qualifications

• Min. 7 years of procurement experience in real estate, construction or infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of building materials and construction supply chain logistics.
• Experience managing procurement teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with SAP or Oracle ERP systems.

Position Overview

The Purchase and Procurement Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and managing the end-to-end procurement function. This role demands a strategic, detail-oriented professional who can build procurement processes from scratch, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely availability of materials and services critical to project success.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing policies, procedures, and guidelines to streamline procurement activities.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure the best quality materials and services at competitive prices.
• Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships and develop a reliable vendor base.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to forecast material requirements and budget adherence.
• Manage purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock to avoid delays and excess holding costs.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and new suppliers.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or timelines.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet project schedules.
• Lead and mentor procurement staff as the team grows in the future.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement status, supplier performance, and cost analysis for senior management.

Requirements
