Job summary

Emami Realty Limited in Kolkata invites applications for AM/DM - Purchase Manager to lead strategic procurement across cement, steel, RMC, AAC blocks, and electrical/plumbing materials. You will coordinate with site engineers and HOD to ensure BOQ alignment and timely, cost-effective purchases.

The candidate should have 10–12 years in real estate or construction procurement, with proficiency in ERP systems such as Farvision and a strong local supplier network.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of experience in procurement for Real Estate or Construction sectors.
• Graduate with diploma in SCM preferred; ERP exposure is desirable.
• Strong vendor networks in Kolkata region and South India.

Responsibilities

• Identify and onboard vendors with PQ for cement, steel, RMC, blocks and electrical/plumbing materials.
• Evaluate quotations, negotiate terms, pricing, payments and deliverables.
• Maintain vendor database; expand supplier base to improve competition.
• Coordinate with site engineers and HOD to align BOQ and material specs.
• Prepare POs, indents and manage end-to-end procurement jusqu'à final payment.
• Schedule deliveries with sites; resolve invoice or delivery-date discrepancies.
• Conduct market research on new materials and cost-saving alternatives.

Job description

AM/DM - Purchase Manager

Qualification- Any Graduate degree with a Diploma in Supply Chain Management will be preferable. Experience: 10-12 years of experience specifically in the Real Estate or Constructionsector.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sourcing: Identify and onboard reliable vendors with Pre-qualification (PQ) for critical materials like cement, steel, RMC, AAC blocks, and all high side and low side electrical and plumbing materials.


2. Negotiation & Finalization: Evaluate vendor quotations and negotiate the best commercial terms, pricing, and payment schedules and deliverables.


3. Vendor Management: Maintain an updated database of suppliers and adding regular data to increase the vendor base to ensure more competitors in all materials.


4. Technical Coordination: Work with site engineers and HOD to understand material specifications and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).


5. Documentation: Prepare Purchase Orders (PO) and comparison sheets, and process material indents from project sites and well versed to perform entire procurement cycle from Indent to final payment of material.


6. Logistics & Tracking: Coordinate with sites to schedule deliveries and resolve discrepancies in invoices or delivery dates.


7. Market Research: Market research for new Technology, Materials with cost saving alternatives and having data of other developers.

Required Skills:

• Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with specialized real estate ERPs likeFarvision.


• Key Competencies: Strong local market knowledge (Kolkata region & South India), inventory control, and excellent communication skills.
