Job summary

Gujarat Ambuja Exports Limited in Ahmedabad is seeking a Purchase trainee to assist the procurement team. You will invite and collect quotations, prepare comparisons, and coordinate with vendors for pricing and delivery.

Training for one year, freshers or candidates with purchase exposure are preferred; you will create POs in SAP and support MIS reporting while ensuring compliance with company procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Invite and collect quotations/offers from vendors for required materials and services.
• Prepare comparative statements (CS) for quotation analysis and vendor selection.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
• Create and process Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP as per approved requirements.
• Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Maintain purchase records, quotations, and procurement-related documents.
• Assist in identifying and developing new vendors.
• Coordinate with internal departments for purchase requirements and order status.
• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and company policies.
• Support the purchase team in day-to-day procurement activities and MIS reporting.
