Job summary

U S Pharma India is seeking a procurement professional to manage end-to-end purchasing of pharmaceutical raw materials, ensuring quality and timely delivery. You will coordinate with approved vendors, prepare purchase orders, monitor stock levels, and maintain meticulous procurement records within a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Procure pharmaceutical raw materials per production and inventory requirements.
• Coordinate with approved vendors and suppliers for quotations, pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and process purchase orders as per company requirements.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Coordinate with QA, QC, Production, Stores, and PPIC departments for material requirements and approvals.
• Ensure procurement is done from approved vendors and materials meet quality specifications.
• Maintain purchase records, supplier quotations, purchase orders, and related documentation.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with Stores to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices and favourable payment terms.
• Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, material shortages, and supplier discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with existing suppliers and identify new vendors when required.
• Prepare purchase reports and maintain proper records of procurement activities.
