Job summary

Astam Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Purchase Executive to manage procurement of raw and packing materials for a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit. The role emphasizes vendor development, negotiation, and ensuring uninterrupted material availability for production.

You will coordinate with Production and Quality teams, maintain supplier records, and monitor stock levels to prevent delays, while ensuring adherence to procurement policies and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline.
• 4-5 years of experience in Raw Material & Packing Material Purchasing in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Unit.
• Experience in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Procurement and Supply Chain processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Develop new vendors and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Verify vendor credentials and monitor market pricing.
• Procure raw materials and packing materials as per production requirements.
• Maintain supplier records and inventory details.
• Coordinate with Production and Quality teams for timely procurement.
• Monitor stock levels to avoid production delays.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).
• Track supplier deliveries and resolve procurement issues.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
