Job summary

Saint Gobain in Chennai, India is seeking a seasoned procurement professional to lead central contracts for high value MRO and services. You will source suppliers, obtain quotations, and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts while measuring supplier performance and reporting results.

You will analyse spend data to expand central contracting, build strong internal and external relationships, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (B.E/B.Tech) from a reputable institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing industry with turnover > Rs.1000 Crores.

• Source suppliers, obtain competitive quotations, and negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts.
• Periodic measurement of suppliers performance and reporting.
• Analyse Spend data and identify more categories to bring under central contract.
• Build and develop relationships with key suppliers and customers; internal, local, and overseas while ensuring they are compliant in all areas as specified by company policies & procedures.
• Maintain and update e-Procurement computerized system and prepare status reports.
• Perform Benchmarking, Identification, Approvals, Onboarding, Auditing, Ongoing Operation.
• Deliver Cost Savings, Cost Avoidance & other Value Delivery Programs YoY, consistently.
