Proving Engineer

Job summary

TVS Motor is seeking a Proving Engineer to support validation, process capability studies, and improvements on 3W production lines. You will implement FMEA actions, conduct machine and fixture inspections, and manage equipment installation and commissioning per layout.

Prepare stage drawings, tooling lists, and run trials to demonstrate process capability and achieve QCD targets. Collaborate with PED (H) team and train operators for standardization and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Implement M/c Process FMEA actions derived as per guidelines.
• Conduct Machine inspection, Jigs Fixtures inspection Parts inspection as per Inspection check sheets Drawings.
• Get Quote,Raise PR,PO Install and commission machine and other equipment as per layout.
• Conduct trials and prove the equipment/ cell through Process Capability Process verification trials / Process performance studies for QCD targets (machine capability, SMS, scrap cost, engine rework, vehicle rework etc.)
• Prepare Stage drawings, TMOS, Gauge list, Tool list, Auto cycle diagram, characteristic matrix, Poka yoke list, appearance approval report, raise MHR, etc. and train operators.
• Create Rate routing with proper inputs for SMM, Cost centers, PRT data and Inspection data.
• Carry out alpha, beta and QP trials as per QCPC Timeline and capacity proving activities, record QP concerns and countermeasures, record learnings and ensure standardization.
• Implement productivity/process improvements as per plan with PCRs / (Develop new fixtures, tools or gauges as part of this).
• Conduct new paint development trials testing, paint consumption norm calculations, New jigs Stickering fixtures development.
• Assist process planner GL in audits reviews, raise TDRs, TPRs, PRs, MHRs, Cell layout preparation and solving existing customer problems.
