Job summary

Ipower Batteries in Haryana, India, is seeking an experienced Industrial/Process Engineer to conduct cycle time and time-motion studies, balance lines, and plan capacity. You will drive assembly line setup, fixture trials, and process documentation while improving material flow and space utilization.

Preferred candidates hold a Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Industrial/Production with 25 years in industrial engineering roles, and strong MS Excel, data analysis, and problem-solving skills for

Qualifications

  • Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Industrial/Production engineering or related field.
  • 25 years of experience in industrial/production/process engineering in manufacturing or assembly.
  • Experience with cycle time study, line balancing, capacity planning and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of PFD, SOPs, layout planning and fixture validation.
  • Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S and productivity improvement exposure.
  • Proficient MS Excel for calculations and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cycle time study for production and assembly processes.
  • Perform time and motion study to improve manpower and efficiency.
  • Carry out line balancing to optimize manpower and flow.
  • Prepare capacity calculations for machines, manpower and lines.
  • Plan and support assembly line set-up and process implementation.
  • Coordinate fixture trials and validation activities.
  • Prepare and update process flow diagrams and work instructions.
  • Analyze layout modifications for better material flow and space utilization.
  • Identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with production, quality, PPC, maintenance and R&D for improvements.

Role & responsibilities
  • Conduct Cycle Time Study for production and assembly processes.
  • Perform Time & Motion Study to improve manpower and process efficiency.
  • Carry out Line Balancing to optimize manpower, workstation utilization, and production flow.
  • Prepare Capacity Calculations for machines, manpower, and production lines.
  • Plan and support Assembly Line Set-up and process implementation.
  • Conduct Fixture Trials and coordinate for fixture validation and improvements.
  • Prepare and update Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) for manufacturing processes.
  • Prepare, review, and update Work Instructions (WI) and standard operating procedures.
  • Analyze and implement Layout Modifications for better material flow and space utilization.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, PPC, Maintenance, and R&D teams for process improvement.
  • Support new product/process development and production ramp-up.
  • Maintain process documentation, productivity reports, and improvement records.
  • Ensure implementation of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and standard work practices
Preferred candidate profile
  • Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or related Engineering.
  • Experience: 25 years in Industrial Engineering / Process Engineering / Production Engineering, preferably in manufacturing or assembly.
  • Experience in Cycle Time Study, Line Balancing, Capacity Planning, Time & Motion Study, and Assembly Line Set-up.
  • Good knowledge of PFD, Work Instructions, SOPs, Layout Planning, and Process Improvement.
  • Hands-on experience in fixture trials and validation.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and productivity improvement.
  • Good MS Excel skills for capacity calculations, data analysis, and productivity reports.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Candidates with experience in EV / Lithium-Ion Battery / Automotive / Electrical Manufacturing will be preferred.
