Job summary

Bevcon Iiot is seeking a skilled Proposal Engineer to prepare accurate, competitive technical proposals for bulk material handling equipment and EPC/turnkey projects, especially CHP. Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Proposal Engineer to prepare accurate, competitive, and technically compliant proposals for bulk material handling equipment and EPC/turnkey projects,

especially for coal handling plants (CHP). The candidate must have strong technical understanding of mechanical design, industrial equipment sizing, costing, and tender documentation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Tender Evaluation & Technical Understanding
   • Review and interpret tender documents, BOQs, and technical specifications.
   • Identify scope, deviations, exclusions, clarifications, and risks.
2. System Design & Equipment Sizing
   • Coordinate with engineering for equipment sizing and selection (conveyors, crushers, screens, feeders, dust systems, etc.).
   • Prepare technical calculation sheets and preliminary GA concepts.
3. Costing & Estimation
   • Prepare costing for mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, and automation components.
   • Estimate fabrication and manufacturing costs for BMH equipment.
   • Collect vendor quotations for bought-out items.
4. Proposal Preparation
   • Create complete techno-commercial offers including technical proposals, cost sheets, deviations, timelines, and commercial terms.
   • Ensure clarity, accuracy, and professional formatting.
5. Client Coordination
   • Support sales team with technical clarifications.
   • Participate in pre-bid meetings and discussions as required.
6. Internal Coordination
   • Work with engineering, procurement, and project teams for proposal accuracy.
   • Handover documentation to project teams after order finalization.
7. Documentation & Reporting
   • Maintain structured tender documentation and costing records.
   • Provide weekly proposal status updates and competitor analysis.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Proposal/Tender Engineer in bulk material handling, EPC, or heavy industrial equipment.
• Strong experience with CHP systems and EPC tendering.

Technical Competencies

• Strong understanding of BMH systems and equipment.
• Ability to read P&IDs, flow diagrams, GA drawings, and civil/structural layouts.
• Knowledge of IS, CEMA, FEM, and DIN standards.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD (preferred), and ERP tools.
