Technical Skills :

• Strong knowledge of Crushing & Screening Plants and Material Handling Systems.
• Understanding of equipment selection, plant layouts, process flow, and capacity calculations.
• Knowledge of fabrication, machining, casting & forging components, bought-out items like Motor, Coupling, Hydraulic, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret GA drawings, P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or equivalent).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and estimation software will be preferred.

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering

• Additional certification in Cost Estimation, Project Management, or CAD will be an added advantage.

Experience :

• Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in estimation and proposal engineering for Material Handling, Crushing & Screening Plants, Bulk Material Handling Systems, Cement, Mining, Steel, Power, or Aggregate Industries or any heavy engineering/ manufacturing company.

Job Summary :

The candidate will be responsible for preparing techno-commercial proposals, cost estimation, bid documentation, and tender submissions for crushing and material handling projects. The role requires close coordination with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Project teams to develop competitive and technically compliant proposals.

Key Responsibilities :

• Study customer enquiries, tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, and commercial terms.
• Selection of equipment/ process by stand-alone or with the help of engineering team.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for crushing plants, screening systems, conveyors, feeders, auxiliaries and other material handling equipment.
• Develop complete techno-commercial proposals including scope of supply, exclusions, assumptions, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
• Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Manufacturing, and Vendors for technical inputs and budgetary quotations.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), costing sheets, and profitability analysis.
• Review RFQs, identify technical deviations, and recommend suitable engineering solutions.
• Support the Sales team during customer discussions, tender clarifications, and negotiations.
• Maintain estimation databases, standard costing formats, and historical project records.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities without compromising quality, safety, or performance.
• Participate in handover/ Kick off meetings after order receipt to ensure smooth project execution.
