Job summary

THERMAX in Pune seeks an Engineer Bulk Material Handling to design and supervise bulk material handling systems for power projects, including layout development, equipment selection (crushers, screens, dust extraction), and detailed engineering with IS/CEMA standards. The candidate will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

• Experience in bulk material handling projects for heavy industries.
• Familiarity with IS and CEMA standards.
• Ability to review engineering drawings and vendor documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Bulk Material Handling system layouts, GA drawings, and equipment specifications.
• Develop technical specifications and datasheets for BMH equipment.
• Perform equipment sizing calculations and material flow analysis.
• Review vendor drawings, calculations, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams for interface engineering.
• Conduct technical bid evaluations and vendor assessments.
• Review manufacturing drawings and inspection documents.
• Coordinate with vendors for timely submission of engineering deliverables.

Job Summary

The Engineer Bulk Material Handling (BMH) is responsible for the engineering, design review, vendor coordination, and execution support of bulk material handling systems for Power projects. The role involves conceptual design of bulk material handling system, developing layout of material handling, detailed engineering of conveying system, selection & specifying equipment like Crusher, Screen, Dust Extraction System, Feeders, Dust suppression system, Stacker & reclaimer etc. The candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Design

• Prepare Bulk Material Handling system layouts, GA drawings, and equipment specifications.
• Develop technical specifications and datasheets for BMH equipment.

Technical Skills

• Belt Conveyors ,Bucket Elevators, Screw Conveyors , Chain Conveyors. Vibrating Feeders, Crushers & Screens, Hoppers & Silos, Dust Extraction Systems, Stacker-Reclaimer Systems
• Familiarity with IS, CEMA and relevant engineering standards.
