Job summary

WABAG in Chennai invites an experienced Project Planner to develop and review detailed schedules with cross functional teams, coordinating engineering, procurement, and construction to ensure timely project execution.

The role requires leading a planning team, conducting weekly reviews, monitoring progress, reporting MIS, and identifying risks with mitigation plans. 5–12 years of relevant EPC scheduling expertise is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have EPC project scheduling experience with detailed plans.
• Experience developing L3 & L4 schedules and weighting per contract.
• Weekly reviews with internal stakeholders and progress tracking.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and implement detailed project schedules in collaboration with cross functional teams
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction and other depts. to ensure seamless project execution
• Monitor project progress against set timelines and approved weightages.
• Lead a team of planners to achieve the project objectives
• Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project status and align to the project objectives
• Communicate project progress regularly through MIS reports
• Address Client concerns promptly and professionally
• Identify potential risks associated with projects and develop mitigation plans in coordination with the Project Manager and all stakeholders
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress

Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidate Handling single high value project of value up to 500 Cr
• Independently handling EPC project by developing L3 & L4 schedules in P6 and assigning weightages as per the contract requirements
• Conduct Weekly Review Meetings with internal stakeholders for monitoring project progress
• Identifying the delays and risks and maintaining the delay logs and risk register.
• Revising the schedules as per the approved EOT
• Preparation and updating the Engineering, Procurement & Construction weightages .
• Update the schedule on a monthly basis
• Preparation of Monthly progress report
• Coordinate with the site planners of the respective projects
• Conduct Weekly Review Meetings with internal stakeholders for monitoring project progress .
• 5- 12 years relevant experience.
