Job summary

HP in Chennai, India is seeking a Project Manager, Procurement to lead end-to-end procurement transformation initiatives, optimize source-to-pay processes, and drive digitalization including SAP S/4HANA implementations.

You will manage cross-functional teams across Procurement, Supply Chain, IT, Finance and Operations, develop plans, timelines, budgets, and governance, and report progress to executives while focusing on risk mitigation and value realization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 8–12+ years of experience in project management, procurement, supply chain, or business transformation.
• Experience with SAP MM or SAP S/4HANA preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement transformation projects from initiation through planning, execution, deployment, and stabilization.
• Create executive-level presentations and communicate project progress, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Manage cross-functional teams across Procurement, Supply Chain, IT, Finance, Operations, and external partners.
• Drive process standardization, automation, and digital transformation initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA and procurement technology implementations.
• Monitor project progress, proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
• Facilitate project governance meetings, steering committees, and executive reviews.
• Develop business cases and project roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives.
• Lead change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and user adoption.
• Measure project outcomes through KPIs, benefits realization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with governance, quality standards, and organizational policies.

As a Project Manager - Procurement

• Proven experience leading medium-to-large-scale transformation or system implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and procurement operations.

• 8–12+ years of experience in project management, procurement, supply chain, or business transformation.

Preferred Certifications

• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent Project Management certification preferred.
• Experience leading global transformation programs.
