Job summary

The role requires 8+ years IT experience with 3 years PM, strong Waterfall expertise, and PMP/Prince2 certification. You will collaborate with clients and vendors to ensure on-time, in-scope delivery.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale cloud-based initiatives in the financial services (BFS) sector. This is a high-impact role demanding strong leadership, deep domain knowledge, and a solid track record of delivering complex projects. You'll collaborate with global, cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of cloud-based projects in the financial services domain.
• Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria aligned with business goals.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans covering resource allocation, timelines, budgets, forecasts, and risk mitigation.
• Monitor project performance, managing changes in scope, schedule, and cost.
• Coordinate effectively across cross-functional teams in multiple time zones.
• Engage with stakeholders clients, vendors, and internal leadership—to align expectations and resolve issues.
• Use Microsoft Project to manage schedules, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks to minimize project disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with Waterfall methodology and industry best practices.
• Oversee day-to-day project execution, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Manage offshore & onshore teams and optimize delivery performance.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews and ensure client satisfaction with final deliverables.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 8+ years of total IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years as a Project Manager.
• Proven track record delivering cloud-based projects in FinTech or BFS environments.
• Deep experience with Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project for tracking and managing projects.
• Experience managing project budgets and financial forecasts.
• Certified in PMP or Prince2.
• Strong understanding of BFS domain processes, regulations, and technologies.
• Excellent leadership and global team management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with global stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and balance priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Actimize platforms and solutions.
• Hands-on experience in cloud migration or transition initiatives.
• Familiarity with onsite-offshore delivery models.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies in hybrid project environments.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.

Work Schedule

This position requires working in the US shift (5:00 PM – 2:00 AM IST) to effectively collaborate with US-based teams and clients.
