Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning, executing, monitoring, and delivering projects in alignment with organisational objectives, customer requirements, and compliance standards. You will be responsible for translating contractual commitments into actionable project plans, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and ensuring timely, cost‑effective, and quality‑compliant project delivery.

Your role will be critical in ensuring structured project execution, risk mitigation, and effective stakeholder communication, while driving continuous improvement across project lifecycles.

You will join the Project & Programmes job family in our Advanced Manufacturing Facility at 523, Ratanpur, Panki, Kanpur – 208020, Uttar Pradesh, India. The role is Full‑time and Permanent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end‑to‑end project lifecycle, from initiation (post‑contract award) to final delivery and closure.
  • Develop and maintain Project Plans including scope, timelines, milestones, resources, and risk assessments.
  • Translate contractual and customer requirements into clear execution instructions through coordination with the Commercial Department.
  • Establish and manage Project Charters, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and defined KPIs.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure seamless execution.
  • Monitor project performance against scope, schedule, cost, and quality baselines, and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive management of potential issues impacting delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal QMS processes.
  • Manage customer communication, including progress updates, issue escalation, and change management discussions.
  • Oversee contract changes and scope variations, ensuring proper evaluation, approval, and implementation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updating of project data in ERP systems (e.g., ERPNext) for visibility and traceability.
  • Conduct periodic project reviews and reporting, providing insights to Top Management for decision‑making.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on project learnings, feedback, and performance trends.
Essential Attributes, Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Composites, or related field).
  • Proven experience in project management within manufacturing, aerospace, or engineering domains.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and resource management principles.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and compliance requirements applicable to aerospace or advanced manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, Microsoft Excel, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Desired Attributes, Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience with ERP systems such as ERPNext, SAP, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with AS9100‐based Quality Management Systems.
  • Certification in Project Management is an added advantage.
  • Experience in composites manufacturing or aerospace projects.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to contribute to organisational growth and process improvement initiatives.
