Job summary

Siemens Energy in India is seeking a Project Manager to oversee gas compressor projects from order entry through warranty, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budget and scope.

You will coordinate with regional sales teams, clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to drive project success, address risks, and maintain contractual compliance across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3+ years experience in oil & gas or heavy machinery; PMP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the order capture process by supporting regional selling teams as requested.
  • Manage the order entry / order transition process for assigned projects and drive adherence to the Order Entry Process.
  • Initiate the project through required formalities and kickoff meetings.
  • Take full ownership of scope, budget, and schedule for assigned projects in the pre-order phase, and manage those constraints after order award.
  • Understand contract provisions and ensure organizational compliance; develop project plans and liaise with clients, suppliers, and management for successful completion.
  • Monitor and report progress and status of the project to management and client per the project plan; ensure Siemens products are delivered as planned.
  • Develop project-specific risk management plans and proactively manage technical and commercial risk.
  • Monitor and maintain the project budget, initiating corrective actions to meet financial objectives.
  • Serve as the Siemens focal point for all communications on assigned projects.

Manage the projects with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and risk of assigned projects for the supply of gas compressors and related control systems to ensure successful project execution with predictable outcomes from order entry through the warranty period. This can include new units and revamps.

How You’ll Make An Impact.
  • Participate in the order capture process by supporting Regional selling teams as requested.
  • Manage the order entry / order transition process for assigned projects. Review order-entry and facilitate the receipt of all required information. Drive adherence to the Order Entry Process.
  • Initiate the project through required formalities and internal / external kickoff meetings.
  • Take full ownership of scope, budget, and schedule for assigned projects in the pre-order phase, and manage those constraints after order award.
  • Fully understand the provisions of the contract for the project, regularly apprising functional representatives of salient provisions, and ensuring organizational compliance with all requirements. 6. Develop project plans as necessary to successfully execute the project. Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and management to develop relationships that are conducive to the successful completion of the project.
  • Monitor and effectively report progress and status of the project to management and to the client in accordance with the project plan

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 3 years working experience in Oil and Gas, Heavy machinery manufacturing industry or Industry of similar nature PMP certification is preferable
