Job summary

Siemens Energy Industrial Turbomachinery India Private Limited is seeking a Professional/Experienced Project Manager in the Transformation of Industry division (Compression) to lead projects for gas compressors and related control systems. You will oversee scope, schedule, and budget from order entry through warranty, including new units and revamps.

Key responsibilities include supporting regional selling teams, managing order entry, coordinating kickoff meetings, and maintaining compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 3 years in Oil & Gas or heavy machinery industry.
• PMP certification is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Support regional selling teams in order capture.
• Manage the order entry and transition process for assigned projects.
• Initiate the project through formalities and kickoff meetings.
• Take ownership of scope, budget, and schedule pre- and post-order.
• Understand contract provisions and ensure compliance.
• Develop project plans and liaise with clients, suppliers, and management.
• Monitor progress and report status to management and client.
• Ensure Siemens products are delivered per project plan.
• Develop risk management plans to minimize exposure.
• Maintain project budget and drive corrective actions.
• Serve as Siemens focal point for communications on assigned projects.

About the role

A Snapshot of Your Day!

Manage the projects with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and risk of assigned projects for the supply of gas compressors and related control systems to ensure successful project execution with predictable outcomes from order entry through the warranty period. This can include new units and revamps.

How You’ll Make an Impact.

• Participate in the order capture process by supporting Regional selling teams as requested.


• Manage the order entry / order transition process for assigned projects. Review order-entry and facilitate the receipt of all required information. Drive adherence to the Order Entry Process.


• Initiate the project through required formalities and internal / external kickoff meetings.


• Take full ownership of scope, budget, and schedule for assigned projects in the pre-order phase, and manage those constraints after order award.


• Fully understand the provisions of the contract for the project, regularly apprising functional representatives of salient provisions, and ensuring organizational compliance with all requirements. 6. Develop project plans as necessary to successfully execute the project. Liaise with clients, suppliers,subcontractors, and management to develop relationships that are conducive to the successful completion of the project.


• Monitor and effectively report progress and status of the project to management and to the client in accordance with the project plan


• Ensure that all Siemens products are delivered in accordance with the project plan.


• Develop project-specific risk management plans and proactively manage technical and commercial risk throughout project execution so as to minimize company exposure


• Monitor and maintain the project budget, initiating and facilitating corrective action to maintain financial objectives.


• Serve as the Siemens focal point for all communications (internal and external), questions and issues requiring action on assigned projects

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 3 years working experience in Oil and Gas, Heavy machinery manufacturing industry or Industry of similar nature PMP certification is preferable
