Job summary

Privacypillar is seeking a proactive PMO professional to govern data privacy and information security consulting engagements. You will keep engagements on plan, inform clients with a single progress view, and ensure scope, effort and deliverables are controlled from kick-off to sign-off.

The role demands 2+ years of PMO or project coordination experience in client-facing environments, strong stakeholder management, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of PMO or project coordination in client-facing consulting or IT.
• Strong stakeholder management with ability to handle scope/timeline pushback.
• Excellent English written and spoken; concise executive updates.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of MS Project or Jira.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain engagement plans, milestones and deliverable trackers from signed scope.
• Manage risk, issues and actions with owners and due dates; escalate early.
• Organise weekly client sessions, fortnightly status reviews and monthly steering.
• Prepare status reports and packs for CISO, CIO, DPO and senior leadership.
• Record meeting minutes and action lists within one business day.
• Coordinate client inputs from IT, HR, Legal, Procurement and business units.
• Track timesheets and effort vs budget; log change requests before work begins.
• Confirm deliverable sign-offs and raise billing milestones to Accounts.

About the role

The PMO runs project governance on our data privacy and information security consulting engagements. The role keeps engagements on plan, keeps clients informed with one consistent view of progress, and ensures scope, effort and deliverables are controlled from kick-off to sign-off.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain engagement plans, milestones and deliverable trackers from the signed scope of work
• Run the risk, issue and action log, with an owner and due date on every item, and escape early
• Organise weekly client working sessions, fortnightly status reviews and monthly steering committees
• Prepare clear status reports and steering committee packs for CISO, CIO, DPO and senior leadership audiences
• Issue meeting minutes and action lists within one business day
• Coordinate client-side inputs from IT, HR, Legal, Procurement and business teams
• Track team timesheets and effort against budget, and log every change request before work starts
• Confirm deliverable sign-offs and raise billing milestones to Accounts

What we are looking for

• At least 2 years of PMO or project coordination experience on client-facing consulting, IT, cybersecurity or compliance programmes
• Strong stakeholder management, with the confidence to engage senior client leaders and manage pushback on scope or timelines
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to write concise executive updates
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; working knowledge of MS Project, Jira or a similar tool
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, Mumbai, Delhi NCR or Bengaluru, and able to work at client sites when needed

Good to have

• Exposure to DPDPA, GDPR, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701 or ISO 22301 programmes
• Background with a Big Four, consulting or GRC advisory firm
• PMP, PRINCE2 or CAPM certification; CIPM or ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer is an advantage
• Regional language proficiency relevant to the location
