Job summary

Right Advisors Private Limited is seeking a Project Lead – Primary Substation Design (400 kV) in Chennai. The role requires leading multidisciplinary design teams and coordinating with clients on international substation projects.

You will apply IEC standards, provide hands-on expertise in primary engineering, equipment layout, busbar layouts, earthing, lightning protection, and switchyard design, and ensure project delivery for 400 kV AIS/GIS substations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in 400 kV Primary Substation Design
• Strong expertise in AIS/GIS EHV Substations
• Hands-on experience in Primary Engineering, equipment layout, busbar layout, earthing, lightning protection, and switchyard design
• Mandatory: International project experience on UK, US, or European substation projects
• Strong knowledge of IEC standards
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and client coordination

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary design teams for 400 kV substations and coordinate with clients globally
• Ensure compliance with IEC standards across all design activities
• Oversee primary engineering tasks including equipment layout, busbar routing, earthing and lightning protection, and switchyard design
