Job summary

Blackopal Group is seeking a Project Head - Civil in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The role leads civil construction projects from planning through handover with emphasis on scheduling, budgeting, quality, safety, and team leadership.

Ideal candidates have 11-16 years of civil project management experience, strong planning and leadership skills, and proficiency in MS Project/Primavera, AutoCAD, and MS Excel. Full-time position based on-site at Ghaziabad.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering is required; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• 11-16 years of relevant civil construction experience in project management.
• Experience handling large-scale civil projects independently.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, structural and finishing works, and planning.
• Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end civil construction projects from planning to handover.
• Develop project plans, execution strategies, schedules, and resource plans.
• Supervise site engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and teams.
• Monitor progress, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Manage budgets, cost control, BOQs, and material procurement.
• Ensure quality and safety compliance and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, and vendors.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Review progress reports and update senior management.
• Utilize manpower, machinery, and materials efficiently.
• Oversee client coordination, contractor negotiations, and documentation.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, snag resolution, and handover.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Project Head - Civil to lead and manage civil construction projects from planning through execution and final handover. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in project management, site execution, budgeting, quality control, safety compliance, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end civil construction projects, ensuring timely completion within approved budgets and quality standards.
• Develop project plans, execution strategies, schedules, and resource allocation plans.
• Supervise site engineers, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and project teams.
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements.
• Manage project budgets, cost control, billing, BOQs, and material procurement coordination.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and applicable statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Identify project risks, resolve technical and operational challenges, and implement corrective actions.
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports and provide updates to senior management.
• Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and other project resources.
• Manage client coordination, contractor negotiations, and project documentation.
• Oversee testing, commissioning where applicable, snag resolution, and final project handover.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech); a relevant postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.
• 11-16 years of relevant experience in civil construction and project management.
• Proven experience in independently handling large-scale civil construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, structural works, finishing works, and project planning.
• Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project reporting tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver projects under strict deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure construction projects, depending on project requirements.
• Strong understanding of cost optimization, quality assurance, safety management, and contractual administration.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive project performance.
