Dotand is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager – Projects (AGM – Projects) with 10+ years of Civil Engineering Project Management and Execution to lead large-scale civil projects, oversee planning, execution, quality, cost, safety, and timelines.

The role requires coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and site teams, guiding multi-disciplinary teams through planning to handover, enforcing contractual and safety standards, and delivering projects on schedule.

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager – Projects (AGM – Projects) with 10+ years of experience in Civil Engineering Project Management and Execution.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading large-scale civil engineering projects, managing project teams and stakeholders, and ensuring successful project delivery across planning, execution, quality, cost, safety, and timelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the complete lifecycle of civil engineering and construction projects, from planning and mobilization through execution and handover.
• Manage project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, execution strategies, and overall project delivery.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, structural engineers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and site teams.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules, budgets, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Lead site execution and ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
• Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, work programs, and construction methodologies.
• Manage project resources including manpower, materials, machinery, and subcontractors.
• Monitor project costs, quantities, variations, procurement, billing, and cost-control measures.
• Coordinate with consultants and technical teams for timely resolution of design and site-related issues.
• Conduct regular project review meetings and provide progress updates to senior management and clients.
• Identify project risks, delays, technical challenges, and execution bottlenecks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, statutory, and contractual requirements.
• Lead project teams and ensure effective coordination between planning, engineering, procurement, and site execution functions.
• Ensure timely completion, commissioning, and handover of projects.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Civil Engineering Project Management / Construction Project Execution.
• Strong experience handling large-scale civil construction and infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in leading project teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods, project planning, estimation, BOQ, contracts, billing, and quantity management.
• Experience in coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and statutory authorities.
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, resource planning, cost control, and execution management.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, or similar project planning tools will be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of AutoCAD and construction drawings; knowledge of relevant engineering software is an added advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability with a hands-on approach to project execution.
• Ability to manage projects under challenging timelines while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Immediate joiners will be given priority.
