Job summary

JS Infra is seeking a seasoned Civil Project Manager in Bidar, Karnataka. The role requires leading construction projects from initiation through completion, coordinating site teams, reviewing drawings/BOQs, and ensuring quality and safety.

You will manage budgets, schedules and resources, while liaising with architects, vendors and authorities to deliver milestones on time.

Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • 10–20 years of experience in construction/project execution, in leadership roles.
  • Hands-on experience in civil construction and project management.
  • Ability to independently manage projects and site teams.
  • Knowledge of drawings, BOQs, estimation, quantity surveying and billing.
  • Experience in contractor/subcontractor management and vendor coordination.
  • Understanding of planning, scheduling, cost control and resource management.
  • Ability to read architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD; MS Project/Primavera is an advantage.
  • Willing to relocate to Bidar, Karnataka.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and execute construction projects from commencement to completion.
  • Take complete responsibility for day-to-day project and site operations.
  • Prepare execution plans, work schedules, manpower requirements and material requirements.
  • Supervise and coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, contractors, subcontractors and labour teams.
  • Monitor construction progress against project schedules and ensure timely completion of milestones.
  • Review drawings, BOQs, specifications and technical requirements before and during execution.
  • Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, vendors, contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure construction work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
  • Monitor quantities, material consumption and wastage at the project site.
  • Verify contractor measurements, work completion and RA bills/final bills.
  • Prepare and review project estimates, budgets and material requirements.
  • Control project costs and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary expenditure.
  • Procure and coordinate timely availability of construction materials, equipment and manpower.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and identify technical issues, delays and execution problems.
  • Resolve site-level engineering and construction issues efficiently.
  • Maintain daily/weekly/monthly project progress reports and communicate updates to management.
  • Monitor quality of concrete, reinforcement, masonry, flooring, finishing and other construction activities as applicable.
  • Ensure proper documentation of drawings, measurements, approvals, material records and project reports.
  • Implement and monitor site safety procedures and ensure compliance by contractors and workers.
  • Manage multiple activities simultaneously and ensure smooth coordination between different project teams.
  • Liaise with government/local authorities, consultants and other external agencies whenever required.
  • Identify project risks and take corrective action to prevent delays and cost overruns.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and site staff.
  • Conduct regular project review meetings and provide management with accurate updates on cost, quality, progress and manpower.
  • Take ownership of project delivery and ensure projects are completed within the agreed timeline, budget and quality standards

Preferred candidate profile
  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.
  • 1020 years of relevant experience in construction/project execution, preferably in a Project Manager, Chief Engineer, Senior Project Engineer or similar leadership role.
  • Strong hands-on experience in civil construction and project management.
  • Proven experience in independently managing construction projects and site teams.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, drawings, BOQs, estimation, quantity surveying and billing.
  • Experience in contractor/subcontractor management and vendor coordination.
  • Good understanding of project planning, scheduling, cost control and resource management.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Familiarity with MS Project / Primavera / MS Excel for project planning, tracking and reporting will be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of construction quality control and site safety practices.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing measurement sheets, RA bills, material reconciliation and project reports.
  • Strong leadership and team-management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to independently handle site operations and take responsibility for project outcomes.
  • Candidates with experience in industrial, commercial, residential, infrastructure or precast/concrete-related projects will be preferred.
  • PMP, NICMAR, RICS or other relevant project/construction management certifications will be an added advantage but are not mandatory.
  • Candidates willing to relocate to Bidar, Karnataka are encouraged to apply.
