Job summary

Schindler India Pvt Ltd is seeking a Project Engineer for new installation in Mumbai. You will oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of elevators and escalators, coordinating with internal teams and contractors to meet project timelines and quality standards.

You will analyze technical issues, document progress, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining strong client communication and safety practices on site.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics or ITI.
• 2–6 years in elevator or manufacturing industry.
• Experience with installation, testing, commissioning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of elevators, escalators, and moving walks to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
• Conduct technical assessments and troubleshooting during the installation phase, identifying and resolving issues to maintain timelines.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external partners to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of installation projects.
• Maintain detailed documentation on project progress, including technical reports, checklists, and compliance records.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site supervisors to communicate and implement installation plans efficiently.
• Facilitate effective communication with clients and external partners to ensure project requirements and safety standards are understood and met.
• Engage with colleagues, contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies to address safety or technical questions.

Your main responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site supervisors to communicate and implement installation plans efficiently and effectively, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Facilitate effective communication with clients and external partners to ensure project requirements and safety standards are clearly understood and met, addressing queries or concerns promptly.
• Engage with colleagues, contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to project plans and to address any safety or technical questions effectively.

What you bring

Qualification: Degree / Diploma Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics) or ITI

Professional Experience : 2 to 6 years in the Elevator or manufacturing industry
