Job summary

Schindler Group in Mumbai seeks a Sr. Project Engineer - New Installation to lead elevator and escalator projects from installation to commissioning, ensuring alignment with specifications and safety standards.

You will coordinate with internal teams, clients, and contractors; supervise installation activities; and maintain project documentation to support on-time delivery and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics) or ITI required.
• Professional experience: 5 years in the Elevator or manufacturing industry.
• Technical competencies include maintenance, repair, and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of elevators, escalators, and moving walks; ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Conduct technical assessments and troubleshoot during installation to maintain timelines.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and partners for timely project completion.

Your main responsibilities

Role & Responsibilities :

• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of elevators, escalators, and moving walks to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards, achieving quality and safety benchmarks.
• Conduct technical assessments and troubleshooting during the installation phase, identifying and resolving technical issues to maintain project timelines and operational effectiveness.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external partners to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of installation projects, adhering to strategic project plans and schedules.
• Maintain detailed documentation on project progress, including technical reports, checklists, and compliance records with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site supervisors to communicate and implement installation plans efficiently and effectively, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Facilitate effective communication with clients and external partners to ensure project requirements and safety standards are clearly understood and met, addressing queries or concerns promptly.
• Engage with colleagues, contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to project plans and to address any safety or technical questions effectively.
