Job summary

Skoda Auto Volkswagen India (SAVWIPL) is seeking a Project Co-ordinator for Special Projects in the Body System department. The role leads program planning and execution within the EK function, driving supplier engagement, EDL strategy, and RFQ/LAH documentation.

You will organize kickoff meetings, monitor progress, and report on quality, cost, delivery, and risks to meet milestones. The position requires a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering with 10–12 years of experience.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering required.
• 10-12 years of experience in program management and supplier engagement.
• Pune-based role; willingness to travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage program planning and execution within the EK function.

Purpose of the Position (Short Summary of the Role)

To lead and manage program planning and execution within the EK function, ensuring alignment with core parameters like TPB, Timeplan, RGB, and RASI. Drive early supplier engagement and develop the EDL strategy by assessing supplier capabilities, coordinating with Procurement, and managing RFQ and LAH documentation. Facilitate supplier workshops, conduct technical evaluations, and oversee supplier readiness and ramp-up. Organize kickoff and executive review meetings, maintain continuous project monitoring and governance, and ensure timely reporting on quality, cost, delivery, risks, and progress to meet program milestones and stakeholder expectations.

Authority:

Act as the lead coordinator for program planning, supplier engagement, and execution within the EK function.

• Manage program planning tools (TPB, Timeplan, RGB, RASI) and lead early supplier evaluations and alignment.
• Develop and secure approval for EDL strategies; prepare and finalize RFQ and LAH documents with engineering inputs.
• Collaborate with Procurement; conduct supplier workshops; lead technical evaluations and support documentation.
• Oversee supplier readiness assessments, kickoff and executive meetings; monitor ramp-up, risks, progress, and report on program status.

Key Responsibilities &Tasks:

• Manage program planning using TPB, Time plan, RGY, and RASI; maintain live overview and coordinate cross-functional inputs.
• Attend Project related meetings, re-present EK in various forums, share meeting information to relevant SETs.
• Track tasks from Project related meetings for EK & ensure completion of tasks.
• Track Project Milestones & ensure Gate reviews before milestones.
• Lead early supplier engagement with pre-RFQ discussions; evaluate supplier capabilities and strategic alignment.
• Develop and align EDL strategy including cost and manpower analysis; secure MB/TCP approval and maintain documentation.
• Prepare and finalize RFQ & LAH documentation incorporating engineering inputs and project requirements.
• Collaborate with Procurement on scope finalization, RFQ timelines, and supplier onboarding & readiness; support technical communication.
• Organize kickoff and executive review meetings; conduct monthly governance reviews covering QCD, risks, milestones, and budgets.
