Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. in Pune district seeks an experienced Quality/Process Engineer to lead supplier quality and audit activities. You will drive 7QC, DOE, FMEA, and SPC-based improvements, support APQP/PPAP, and ensure ISO/TS compliance across supplier networks.

Ideal candidates have 8–11 years in automotive quality, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record in auditing and cross-functional collaboration. Willingness to travel to supplier sites is expected.

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical or Production Engineering with focus on quality management systems.
• Strong knowledge of QMS and ISO/TS standards is preferred.
• Experience in automotive supplier audits and APQP/PPAP processes.
• Proficient in quality tools (7QC, DOE, FMEA, SPC, MSA) and problem solving.
• Ability to lead internal/external audits and write factual reports.

Responsibilities

• Utilize quality tools to drive process improvement and problem solving.
• Support supplier selection, capability building, and audit activities.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure on-time, quality deliverables.

Job description

• 1) Participate in the Selection of the Suppliers for MSES activities for CV
• 2) Building Supplier Capability for ensuring Smooth ramp-up and achieving Target PPM set by Customer.
• 3) Develop competency of Supplier Personnel for Problem solving, Capacity building , Change management , DWM , 5S etc
• 6) Develop Supplier Training Charter and Operator Training programme.
• 7) Work on Improvement of Supplier Layout.
• 8) Develop Quality Systems at Supplier to Ensure Daily Work Management Practices.

Qualifications

BE(Mechanical or Production Engineering)
Proficiency in QMS would be preferable

General Requirements

• 1) Working knowledge of major quality tools like 7QC, DOE, FMEA, QC Story.
• 2) System knowledge of APQP, MPPAP.
• 3) Good Problem-solving Skills.
• 4) Should have Analytical skill and Process auditing skill.
• 5) Sound knowledge on Capacity Planning, Cycle time and TAKT time concepts.
• 6) In-depth knowledge of Audit and related activities.
• 7) End to end knowledge of New Product Development process related to Automobile industry
• 8) Exposure to Practices like Dexterity, Lean manufacturing.
• 9) Good knowledge of ISO/TS system.
• 10) Should be a Certified Lead / Internal Auditor.
• 11) Good knowledge of Ms-Office utilities like: Word, Power point, Excel
• 12) Have fluency in Report writing.
• 13) Self-driven and result oriented, Quick learner
• 14) Good at Interface working and extrovert.
• 15) Certified SIX Sigma GREEN belt would be preferable
• 16) Good Working Knowledge on SPC and MSA.
• 17) Good working Knowledge of World Class Manufacturing practices application.
