Qualifications

• BE/ME in Mechanical, Automobile or Electrical engineering.
• 4–12 years of experience in active safety testing.
• Knowledge of ADAS features including AEB, FCW, ACC, LKA, BSD and NCAP requirements.
• Experience with NCAP protocols, NCAP Calculator and safety rating assessment methodologies.
• Understanding of radar, camera, ultrasonic sensors, LiDAR and sensor fusion.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, monitor and execute Active Safety testing activities as per project milestones.
• Develop and maintain Active Safety validation plans, test strategies and test schedules.
• Define NCAP test requirements, test scenarios and acceptance criteria in line with global regulations.
• Conduct Full Vehicle Active Safety evaluations for ADAS and collision avoidance functions.
• Perform benchmarking studies of competitor vehicles and identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyze test data, evaluate system performance and generate detailed technical reports.
• Coordinate with design, integration and calibration teams for issue resolution and function optimization.
• Review and approve test specifications, test procedures and validation reports; ensure compliance with NCAP protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Support development of Active Safety concepts, test methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assess system maturity, track validation status and provide release recommendations for Active Safety functions.

Skills Required :

• Knowledge of Active Safety Systems and Full Vehicle Active Safety Testing
• Knowledge of ADAS functions including AEB, FCW, ACC, LKA, BSD and related NCAP requirements
• Experience in NCAP Protocols, NCAP Calculator and Safety Rating Assessment methodologies
• Understanding of Radar, Camera, Ultrasonic Sensors, LiDAR and Sensor Fusion technologies
• Knowledge of Active Safety Strategy development, Validation Processes and Performance Assessment
• Experience in Vehicle Testing, Data Acquisition Systems, Test Instrumentation and Analysis Tools
• Knowledge of Test Planning, Benchmarking, Test Scenario Development and Validation Methodologies
• Project Management, Verbal & Written Communication, Technical Reporting and Presentation Skills
