You will lead vehicle-level tests for brake actuation systems and ESC units, ensuring compliance with safety standards and internal quality requirements.

The role requires 10+ years in brake actuation testing, strong data acquisition skills, and teamwork with global suppliers.

Purpose of the Position (Short Summary of the Role)

Responsible for brake actuation system & Electronic Stability Control (ESC) unit, to perform vehicle-level testing and evaluations for same, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, performance standards, and internal quality requirements. The role ensures robust braking performance, vehicle stability for current and future vehicle programs for current & future project. Use various testing equipments, data acquisition, post processing of data, evaluation and provide management summaries.

Authority

• Responsible for development and testing of brake actuation system including pedals & Electronic stability control (ESC) unit including summer (high ) and winter (low ) test.
• Testing and validation of brake actuation systems, ESC unit & its functions using equipments mentioned in Annex or its equivalent.
• Creation and approval of test plans, execution of tests, and preparation of detailed reports.
• Resolve technical issues during vehicle build, pre-series testing, and field concerns.
• Coordinate with global teams, suppliers & CFT to ensure timely deliverable

Skill Required

• Self-starting, self-motivation, working with little guidance with good analytical skills.
• Ability to think in a wider scope, ability to plan and develop a structure
• Excellent communication skills, English in written and verbal form, German / Czech Language Proficiency would be an added advantage
• Deep Technical analysis, problem solving and understanding of Brake system & ABS/ESC unit & vehicle dynamics
• Expertise in instrumentation and data acquisition systems
• A Deep understanding of Indian Automobile market, vehicles, customer, product requirements.
• Time Management along with Quality Consciousness.
• Valid Driving License, ability to perform brake & ABS/ESC test

Key Responsibilities &Tasks

• Responsible for component of brake actuation system & ABS/ESC unit
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical inputs for brake system development
• Responsible for vehicle testing and measurement activities in India related to brake actuation system and report the results to SET & project coordinator & HOD
• Plan and execute ABS/ESC tests under various conditions, report the results to SET & project coordinator & HOD
• Responsible for operating, using, handling, maintaining of measurement systems (e.g. V-Box) along with creation & presentation of test reports
• Support root cause analysis and resolution of brake/ESC-related issues during development and field
• Support homologation activities for India and export markets
• Responsible for Benchmarking activities related to chassis parts with respect to India OEMs and latest car launches.
