Job summary

Bentel Associates International (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Qualified Architect with 7 to 14 years of experience in commercial and mixed-use projects to lead design development, coordinate with consultants, clients, and site teams, and mentor a team of architects and technicians from concept to construction documentation.

The role covers planning, designing, and overseeing documentation, ensuring adherence to codes, and delivering sustainable, aesthetically pleasing designs aligned with project

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of architecture experience in commercial or mixed-use projects.
• Ability to mentor and lead a team of architects and technicians.
• Capable of overseeing all phases from planning to construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Take briefs and develop feasibility reports and design proposals.
• Coordinate with 3D team for development and presentation materials.
• Control drawing deliverables from schematic to working drawings.
• Coordinate with structural and service consultants for design development.
• Liaise with clients and project managers; conduct periodic site visits.

Job description

Position Title: Project Architect / Senior Architect

Job Brief :

We are looking for a Qualified Architect with 7 to 14 yrs. of experience in Commercial and mixed use projects. He / She should have ability to perform all phases of architectural work including planning, designing and overseeing the construction documentation. This role involves coordination with Consultants, clients, site and PMC. He/ She will be involved in new building designs, extensions and alterations from the earliest stages right through to completion. He / She should be able to Mentor and leadteam of Architects and Technician to achieve the design and deliverables in line with project need. The goal is to match client’s needs and to produce sustainable, functional and aesthetically pleasing design and detail.

1. DesignDevelopment and management

Take the “brief” to identify clients’ needs and put together feasibility reports and design proposals

Develop ideas keeping in mind client’s needs, building’s usage and environmental impact in line with Architectural trend and advancement.

Coordination with 3d team for developmentbuilding aesthetics

Select the materials as per the client requirement/liking and the project theme and prepare the material board for presentation

2. Drawing Management

Control Drawing deliverables from start to finish of the project to ensure high quality details drawings for Schematic and working drawing stage

Ensure that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations

Work With team of Architects/ Technician for achieving the deliverables on time

3. Consultant and Vendor coordination

Coordination with structural and service consultant for design development and execution

Coordinate with various vendors for material selection

4. Client and Site coordination

Coordination with project managers to achieve the required design deliverables in line with site requirement

Make on periodic site visits to check on project status and report on project

Qualification :

5 yrs. Bachelor degree in Architecture( B. Arch / M. Arch OR Equivalent )
