Job summary

Khatib & Alami in Bengaluru is seeking a Design Architect to drive schematic and detailed architectural designs for large, complex projects. You will coordinate with structural, mechanical, and environmental teams, review deliverables, and implement design revisions to meet project goals.

You will support senior architects with value engineering, client submissions, and tender documentation while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail across all design stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture is required.
• Master’s Degree in Architecture or related field is preferred.
• 4+ years of architectural design experience.
• Experience with large/complex projects and international standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the refinement of selected design options into schematic and draft final designs, including all required drawings and reports, as instructed
• Support the coordination with other design specializations to coordinate design requirements across disciplines for design projects of across all design stages (schematic, detailed), as needed
• Review prepared design deliverables with senior project teams and implement design revisions based on reviews and checking reports, as needed
• Support Senior Architects with design value engineering activities, as needed
• Support the senior project team with the review and validation of design deliverables with clients and authorities, capturing feedback and obtaining approvals, as needed
• Support the development of tender documents, including specifications, and Bills of Quantities, as needed
• Provide support to Project Managers in developing periodic progress reports, as needed
• Assist Project Managers with implementing quality control policies and procedures on design deliverables and conduct peer review on team members’ deliverables

Job description

The Design Architect will support the development and refinement of schematic and detailed architectural designs for large, complex projects. This role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, reviewing design deliverables, implementing design revisions, and contributing to tender documentation. The Design Architect will assist senior team members with value engineering, client and authority submissions, quality control, and project reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong technical design experience, familiarity with international standards, excellent communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required to Execute this Role

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
• A Master’s Degree in Architecture or a related field is preferred
• 4+ years of industry experience in an architectural design function
• Strong experience and track record in developing architectural designs for large and complex projects
• In-depth knowledge and proven track record in the architectural design field
• Understanding of international engineering standards and codes
• Exposure to global best practices and trends in the architectural design
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Proven leadership, problem-solving, and strong attention to details
