Job description

Founded in 2020, Masters’ Union is a new-age, industry-led university focused on business, technology, engineering, and entrepreneurship. Built around learning by doing, the institution combines academics with real-world projects, startup building, and global exposure, with the ambition of becoming one of the world’s top business schools and multidisciplinary universities over the next two decades.

Today, Masters’ Union has nearly 3,500 students across undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive programs, with almost half being experienced professionals. Spread across nearly 5 lakh square feet in Gurgaon and Manesar, the institution houses the PwC Center for Generative AI, a Bloomberg Lab, Gurgaon’s premier maker space, AI and robotics infrastructure, advanced bioengineering workshops, and startup incubation spaces, while also expanding into areas such as bioengineering and genetic engineering.

The institution is chaired by Manoj Kohli, former CEO of Bharti Airtel and former Country Head of SoftBank India. Its leadership ecosystem includes Vivek Gambhir, Pankaj Bansal, Sanjiv Bikhchandani, Amitabh Kant, and 30+ other founders, CEOs, investors, and policymakers who contribute to teaching and institution building.

Masters’ Union’s flagship postgraduate program has recorded the highest average salary among MBA-equivalent programs in India, with graduates placed at firms such as Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Google, and Microsoft. The institution has also built one of the country’s strongest student startup ecosystems, with 10+ students pitching on Shark Tank India and 20+ students raising external funding for their ventures, alongside several successful creators and internet entrepreneurs.

About the Role

Own the UG events lifecycle end to end: deciding which events to run and why, planning the calendar, delivering great experiences, aligning CLM communication around them, and measuring impact on student engagement and admissions outcomes. You will set the events strategy, build the community around the school ecosystem and lead the Events & Community Associate.

Specifically, this role will involve
  • Defining the UG events strategy (events, formats, audiences, locations) and own the monthly calendar: campus experiences, student interactions, career sessions, speaker talks, webinars and workshops, all tied to admissions goals.
  • Using benchmarks, competitor and trend research, performance data, funnel insights and feedback to decide what to scale, fix, drop or test.
  • Running online and offline events end to end: timelines, run-of-show, speaker briefs, venues, tech, budgets, staffing, contingency plans and follow-ups. Coordinating with speakers, students, admissions, marketing, branding, campus ops and partners, escalating risks early, and travel for key events.
  • Aligning the CLM calendar with events and agree a communication strategy that drives registrations, attendance and conversion (application start → paid application), working with the CLM team; cut spend that doesn't move outcomes.
  • Building tracking and dashboards for registrations, attendance, engagement, feedback, cost and funnel movement (including CLM touchpoints); analyze ROI across formats, themes, audiences and channels; design experiments.
  • Gathering feedback from prospects, students, speakers and internal teams; proactively implement improvements and document learnings as SOPs, checklists and playbooks.
  • Building a community around the school ecosystem, bringing together school students, schools and the wider network, with Masters' Union at its center; define its purpose, structure, program and rhythm, and grow it against clear targets for members, activity and quality.
  • Building ambassador and partner networks on the lines of the PGP team (AI Builders community of 15,000+ tech professionals; 252 campus ambassadors across 150+ colleges), and link the community to events and CLM as a source of engaged prospects.
  • Involving current students in UG events, connect prospects with students, alumni and speakers, build lasting speaker and partner relationships, and host and moderate events online and on ground.
Ideal candidate will have
  • Around 4-7 years in events, experiential marketing, community, growth or a similar execution-heavy role.
  • Strategic thinking to turn funnel data and market insight into a clear events plan.
  • Analytical and comfortability with spreadsheets, dashboards and data tools; comfortability with CLM or marketing automation tools and cadence planning.
  • Strong project management and attention to detail and follow-through; expertise in running multiple events or projects at once, independently.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in student communities, educational institutions, campus events, or events tied to a growth or admissions funnel.
