Job summary

Ascendion seeks a sharp Lead Program Manager to own enterprise portfolio reporting for executive leadership in India. You will transform cross‑functional project data into strategic narratives and design executive dashboards that clearly reflect risk, status, and decision points.

You will challenge peers to uncover gaps, maintain reporting integrity, and craft visually compelling slide decks for senior leadership, including risk articulation and trade-off analyses.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in program management, PMO governance, or related roles driving enterprise-level reporting.
• Advanced skill in Microsoft PowerPoint with ability to craft executive-ready slide decks.
• Strong ability to analyze data, identify gaps, and question status quo respectfully.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for C-level audiences.
• Strong interpersonal influence to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in portfolio management and visualization tools (Jira/Asana/Monday.com/Smartsheet/Power BI/Tableau).

Responsibilities

We are looking for a sharp, inquisitive, and highly articulate Lead Program Manager to drive our enterprise portfolio reporting and executive status reviews. In this role, you will serve as the central source of truth for executive leadership, transforming complex, cross-functional project data into clear, strategic narratives.

This is not a passive data-aggregation role. You will actively collaborate with—and respectfully challenge—peer program managers to dig beneath surface-level updates, uncover hidden risks, and ensure our executive reporting reflects accurate, objective reality. If you have an eagle eye for risk, exceptional diplomatic persistence, and top-tier presentation design skills, this role is built for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Executive Portfolio Reporting: Design, produce, and iterate weekly, monthly, and quarterly enterprise portfolio reports, executive dashboards, and board-level presentation decks.
• Status Integrity & Risk Uncovering: Actively review project updates submitted by program and project managers. Ask probing questions, audit assumptions, and identify unmitigated risks or dependencies to ensure reporting reflects true status rather than optimistic estimations.
• Executive Presentation Design: Translate dense technical, operational, and financial information into highly visual, executive-ready PowerPoint decks that convey clear metrics, trade-offs, and decisions required.
• Executive Status Reviews: Plan, facilitate, and lead regular status reviews with executives and senior leaders, driving aligned action on critical enterprise risks and blockers.
  

Qualifications

• Experience: 6+ years in program management, PMO governance, management consulting, or a related role driving enterprise-level reporting and cross-functional initiatives.
• Mastery of PowerPoint & Storytelling: Advanced skill in Microsoft PowerPoint. Proven ability to build visually compelling, slide-doc quality presentations tailored for executive audiences (data visualization, structured layouts, concise messaging).
• Critical Thinking & Inquiry: Exceptional ability to analyze program data, identify logical gaps, ask the right probing questions, and respectfully challenge status quo updates without disrupting working relationships.
• Executive Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to and managing discussions with C-level executives.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal influence and diplomacy—able to build trust with project teams while maintaining rigor and accountability in reporting.
• Tools & Analytics: Proficiency with portfolio management and visualization tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, Power BI, or Tableau).

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PMP, or Agile/Scrum certifications.
• Background in management consulting or executive advisory roles.
• Healthcare payor experience
