Job summary

Evoke HR in Chennai invites a hands-on IT Operations Specialist to support and troubleshoot Linux/Unix based applications and Java three-tier architectures. You will engage in deployment and migration projects, manage incidents, and contribute to monitoring and reporting for senior leadership.

The role requires strong problem solving, effective communication, and ability to work in shifts. Knowledge of ITIL processes, BFSI domain experience, and comfort with SQL/PLSQL is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux/Unix concepts and inter-process communication.
• Experience with real-time messaging technologies (Multicast, UDP, TCP/IP).
• Exposure to Java technologies and three-tier architectures.
• Experience with deployment and migration projects.
• Finance domain knowledge, especially Capital Market or BFSI.
• Familiarity with SDLC, maintenance and operations.
• ITIL process understanding including Incident/Problem Management."
• Application monitoring concepts and tools knowledge.
• Proficiency in SQL and Unix/Linux commands.
• Experience with Incident and Change Management processes.
• Willingness to rotate shifts.

Job description

Exposure to hands on experience in support and troubleshooting of applications installed in Linux / Unix OS and java based three tier architecture technologies.

• Strong conceptual understanding of Linux based OS concepts and inter process communication.
• Exposure to real-time messaging technologies (Multicast, UDP, TCP/IP etc)
• Knowledge of Linux commands, code release methodologies and scripting.
• Java technologies and related three tier architectures
• Should have exposure to major deployment and migration projects.
• Finance domain knowledge especially worked on Capital Market related applications or BFSI (desired).
• Knowledge of complete software development cycle, Maintenance and Operations.
• ITIL process understanding & Incident / Problem Management using internal tool
• Expertise in application monitoring concepts and Tools.

• Proven exposure to Incident Management and Change Management processes
• Comfort working in rotational shifts
