Job summary

Balasore Alloys Limited is seeking an experienced professional for Production MIS and planning in ferro alloys, steel, or metals. You will prepare material balances, burden/charge mixes, and monthly business plans, while ensuring SAP data integrity and timely reporting.

You will work with TPM and Six Sigma initiatives, optimize consumables, and support management reviews with accurate MIS and performance analyses.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E. in metallurgy/chemical/mechanical or B.Sc/M.Sc; MBA is a plus.
• 58 years in production MIS or planning in ferro alloys/steel/metals.
• Hands-on with SAP (PP/MM modules) and advanced MS Excel.
• Knows charge mix, burden calculation and material balance (carbon, chrome).
• Has worked with TPM, ISO/IMS or Six Sigma.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily raw material stock position and MIS reports.
• Prepare burden and charge mix aligned with ore availability and plan.
• Generate weekly/monthly MIS and performance reports for review.
• Create OPE and loss cost matrices for TPM Secretariat.
• Develop monthly/annual production and business plans.
• Schedule monthly holidays and coordinate with Time Office.
• Pull data from SAP, ensure accuracy and SAP compliance.
• Maintain historical data and enable quick data retrieval.
• Distribute reports to other departments on time.
• Participate in TPM circle activities and ISO/IMS initiatives.
• Cut costs by reducing office consumables.

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare the daily raw material stock position and the daily MIS report for the HOD's morning meeting.
• Prepare burden mix and charge mix for different product grades, in line with ore availability, the marketing plan and customer requirements.
• Prepare weekly and monthly MIS and performance reports, including carbon and chrome balance, and reports for the Chairman's review meeting.
• Prepare the weekly and monthly OPE and loss cost matrix for the TPM Secretariat.
• Prepare the monthly production and charge mix plan, the monthly business plan and the yearly business plan.
• Prepare the monthly and holiday shift schedules and send them to the Time Office on time.
• Pull data from SAP, keep it accurate and follow SAP compliance norms.
• Maintain and store historical data, and find past data quickly when someone needs it.
• Send reports and information to other departments on time.
• Implement Office TPM in the department and take part in TPM circle activities (KK, QM, OTPM).
• Meet ISO and IMS requirements and support management initiatives such as TPM and Six Sigma.
• Cut costs by using fewer office consumables.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Tech/B.E. (Metallurgy, Chemical or Mechanical) or B.Sc/M.Sc; an MBA is a plus
• 58 years in production MIS or planning in the ferro alloys, steel or metals industry
