Job summary

BN Industries is seeking a hands-on production leader for metal processing operations in Gujarat. You will direct shift activities, optimize furnace yield and charge composition, and ensure safety standards are strictly followed.

The role requires 5–10 years of core production experience in metal processing, with strong leadership and MIS/ERP skills to drive performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Core skills include furnace operations, charge calculations, refractories, yield recovery, MIS/ERP tools and EHS norms.
• Experience: 5 to 10 years in core hands-on production in metal processing, foundries, smelting or metal recycling.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily shift operations, charge preparation, scrap sorting, blending, and tapping across metal processing lines.
• Analyse furnace yield reports and burning loss trends; optimise charge mix and chemistry dosing for liquid metal recovery.
• Execute production schedules, maintain inventory/dispatch workflows, and present yield dashboards.
• Enforce EHS compliance with factories act, PCB guidelines, APCD equipment, and PPE adherence.
• Lead shift supervisors, furnace operators and contract labour to maintain high workforce utilisation.

Job description

Role & Responsibilities

• Shop-Floor & Production Execution: Direct daily shift operations, charge preparation, scrap sorting, blending, and tapping activities across metal processing lines.
• Yield & Process Optimisation: Analyse furnace yield reports and burning loss trends; optimise charge mix and chemistry dosing to maximise liquid metal recovery.
• Planning & Operational MIS: Execute daily/weekly/monthly production schedules, maintain inventory/dispatch workflows, and present yield dashboards for Director review.
• Safety & EHS Compliance: Enforce strict compliance with the Factories Act, PCB guidelines, APCD pollution control equipment, and 100% PPE adherence.
• Workforce Leadership: Lead shift supervisors, furnace operators, and contract labour, maintaining workforce utilisation above 90% with strong shop-floor discipline.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Metallurgical, Production, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience: 5 to 10 years of core hands-on production experience in metal processing, foundries, smelting, steel/alloy processing, or metal recycling. (Note: Candidates strictly from primary aluminium are excluded).
• Core Skills: Deep expertise in furnace operations, charge calculations, refractories, yield recovery, MIS/ERP tools, and statutory EHS norms.
