Job summary

C&S Electric in Uttarakhand-Haridwar is seeking a manufacturing process engineer to design, develop, and implement efficient, cost-effective manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures, with feasibility studies for new products.

You will mentor technical staff, drive lean principles like Kaizen and 5S, conduct cost analyses, and standardize processes across production lines, while supporting vendor audits and reporting to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Process optimization: Design, develop, and implement efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures. Conduct feasibility studies for new product manufacturing.
• Team mentor: Supervise and mentor technical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Continuous improvement: Drive lean manufacturing principles, such as Kaizen, and 5S, to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Cost analysis: Estimate cycle times, tooling costs, and overall part costs for components, providing overhead calculations to support quoting and budgeting.
• Documentation and standardization: Prepare and release process sheets, setup sheets, and routing plans. Standardize work-holding, tooling, SOP, WI, and inspection methods across all production lines and with suppliers.
• Vendor management: Support the vendor development team by conducting process audits, capability assessments, and offering technical guidance.
• Reporting: Analyze production data and prepare regular reports for senior management on performance metrics, project status, and cost savings.
• Support to Maintenance team for MTTR, MTBF and installation of new machinery if any.
