Job summary

Kirloskar Brothers Limited is seeking a Manager - NFF (Overall Foundry Operations) in Pune to lead NAB development, heat pouring, production planning, and process optimization for non-ferrous foundry operations.

The role requires deep Metallurgy knowledge, experience with melting/pouring/fettling, QMS/EHS/ENMS familiarity, and CAPA-driven improvements including 5 Why analyses and end-to-end trials.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Metallurgy and different casting processes for copper and allied alloys.
• Overall Foundry Knowledge and technical knowledge of Non ferrous foundry process.
• Knowledge of Melting, pouring and fettling process in Non ferrous foundry
• Knowledge of QMS, EHS, ENMS system
• Knowledge of products and systems
• Basic Knowledge of casting methoding in sand casting process
• Ability to improve casting yield and optimize process parameters
• Proficiency in the process of casting defects, & root Cause Analysis and taking CAPA
• Review & Implementation of Non ferrous Foundry revamping and CAPEX project

Responsibilities

• NAB development and trial and order execution of NAB grades
• Responsible for special metal heat pouring
• Timely support to production planning and execution
• To review, optimize and standardize process parameters to improve productivity and quality
• Plan daily visits to machine shop to understand shop issues related to NFF and improve casting rework and rejection.
• Timely responding machine shop and inhouse scrap memos by doing root cause Analysis and taking CAPA
• ISO documentation and work instruction updation as per requirement and plan
• To standardize methoding for all existing models developed in NFF with the help of FED
• Implementing action plans decided through 5 why analysis as well as improvements suggested by process improvement cell by conducting end to end trials.
• Result monitoring for improvement trials and standardization of process and related changes to sustain the improvement initiatives
• Implementation of CAPEX projects in Non ferrous foundry. Supporting in NFF revamping process.
• To optimize cost of manufacturing through process improvements.
• To create and sustain conducive work environment among workmen at work center.
• Inventory management in Non ferrous Foundry
• Review and implementation of safety measures in Foundry
• Maintaining discipline at work place & take appropriate disciplinary action whenever required
• Motivate self and workmen for implementation of TPM, KAIZEN, house keeping, 5S activities in departmen
