Job summary

Fastech S&s India requires a seasoned professional to lead die casting production. You will plan, organize, and control daily to monthly output, while managing machines, dies, furnaces, and related processes to meet customer delivery schedules.

The role demands 15+ years in manufacturing with 6+ years in a supervisory/managerial production capacity, plus strong die casting expertise and a track record of productivity improvement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and control daily/weekly/monthly die casting production.
• Manage die casting machines, dies, furnaces, trimming and related production processes.
• Achieve production targets as per customer requirements and delivery schedules.
• Monitor OEE, productivity, rejection, rework, downtime, and production efficiency.
• Control and reduce casting defects such as porosity, blow holes, cold shuts, cracks, flash, shrinkage, and dimensional defects.
• Optimize machine parameters including temperature, pressure, injection speed, cycle time, and holding pressure.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, PPC, Stores, and Purchase departments.
• Ensure proper die maintenance, die changeover, and machine setup.
• Analyze production problems and implement root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Reduce material wastage, scrap, rejection, energy consumption, and production costs.
• Ensure availability and proper utilization of manpower, machines, dies, raw materials, and consumables.
• Monitor operator performance and allocate manpower according to production requirements.
• Train and develop production supervisors, operators, and other team members.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and statutory safety standards.
• Maintain production records, reports, machine downtime records, rejection reports, and other required documentation.
• Conduct daily production meetings and review production performance against targets.
• Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement activities.
• Investigate customer complaints related to production and coordinate corrective actions with the Quality team.
• Ensure production activities comply with the company's quality management system and work instructions.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.
• Strong practical experience in Die Casting Production is mandatory.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in a supervisory/managerial production role preferred.
• Experience in managing die casting machines, dies, production parameters, and casting defects.
• Experience in production planning, manpower management, productivity improvement, and cost reduction.
