Job summary

CIEL HR is hiring a Senior Quality Manager to oversee all quality facets from design through field usage in a leading iron foundry in Coimbatore. The role requires hands-on leadership of process quality across all foundry functions, with strong focus on supplier, incoming, and customer quality.

The ideal candidate will have 15 years in iron foundry environments, experience with QC tools, 8D, SPC, FMEA and FTA, and be proficient in QMS and EHSMS standards.

Qualifications

• Must have 15 years in iron foundry operations with national/global customers.
• Experience handling customer complaints and systematic problem-solving using QC tools and 8D.
• Familiarity with QMS and EHSMS standards.

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for managing all facets of quality from design of new products up to actual usage in the field, and Process Quality in all functions of foundry;
• Responsible for managing the supplier Quality, Incoming materials and Customer Quality.
• Interaction with customers, understanding customer specification, special and critical characteristics requirements by thoroughly understanding the stated and other needs in drawing and other documents, Be customer face for the organization
• Managing the final inspection including visual control system across QA function
• Taking accountability for fulfilling International Quality STD requirements including QMS, EHSMS and other customer requirements and QM Pillar of TPM
• Taking ownership and coordinating the completion of APQP, PPAP requirements related to NPD and all audits related to domestic and global customers
• Conducting and sustaining DWM (Daily Work Management) and duly communicating and guiding the team to problem probing to solving
• Lead and motivate team to achieve world class quality levels and systems.

Preferred candidate profile

Ideal Candidate

• BE / B. Tech in Mechanical/Metallurgy from reputed institutions
• Around 15 years in Iron Foundry, that deals national and global customers. Experience in customer complaints handling and solving systematically using QC Tools, 8D methodology, Statistical Analysis like SPC, FMEA, FTA.
• Should be conversant with QMS, EHSMS standards and requirements
• Should have considerable experience in managing supplier quality, in-process quality and customer quality.
• Should have experience in supplier Audits
• Strong fundamental engineering, metallurgy and foundry process knowledge
• Should have good experience in QA related to Sand casting, Investment Casting and Die casting and related processes like machining,
• Should be experienced in both GDC &PDC processes.
• Should be willing to engage in a long-term employment and add value to the organization.
• Should be willing to work out of Coimbatore location
• English, Tamil, Hindi (desirable)
