Yash Group of Industries seeks an experienced Maintenance Head to lead the melting shop in its foundry operations. The role requires 12+ years in melting, overseeing production targets, ensuring metal quality, and optimizing furnace operations while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will supervise the melting team, coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Pattern Shop, and drive preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and defects.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Production Engineering.
• Diploma candidates with extensive foundry experience may also be considered.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in foundry melting operations.
• Experience handling induction furnaces of medium to large capacity.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day melting shop operations.
• Plan and execute melting schedules as per production requirements.
• Ensure the correct chemical composition and temperature of molten metal.
• Supervise induction/cupola furnace operations.
• Monitor charge mix, alloy additions, and raw material consumption.
• Minimize melting losses, energy consumption, and production costs.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Pattern Shop departments.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
• Monitor spectrometer analysis and take corrective actions when required.
• Lead and train melting shop operators and supervisors.
• Maintain production records, furnace logs, and process documentation.
• Implement preventive maintenance in coordination with the maintenance team.
• Ensure workplace safety, housekeeping, and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce defects.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Maintenance Head with 12+ years of experience in foundry operations. The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete melting shop, ensuring production targets, maintaining metal quality, optimizing furnace operations, controlling costs, and leading the melting team while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous melting processes.
• Expertise in induction furnace operations and charge calculation.
• Knowledge of metallurgy, alloy chemistry, and spectrometer analysis.
• Understanding of ISO/IATF16949 quality systems and foundry process controls.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Good communication and team management skills.
• Proficiency in production planning and inventory control.
• Familiarity with ERP TCS systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Production Engineering.
• Diploma candidates with extensive foundry experience may also be considered.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 12 years of experience in foundry melting operations.
• At least 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Experience handling induction furnaces of medium to large capacity.
