Prarthna Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Production Manager / Manufacturing Head to own and optimise plant operations in Khalapur, Maharashtra. You will drive end-to-end performance across production, planning, quality, and safety to achieve targets.

The role requires strong leadership, a track record in sheet metal manufacturing, and hands-on expertise with CNC sheet metal equipment, IMS/EMS familiarity, and strict cost control. Full-time position with strategic impact.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years total experience in engineering/manufacturing.
• 5–7 years specifically in the Production Dept of sheet metal manufacturing at senior level.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal machinery and safety/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor daily plant performance to meet targets for production, quality, costs, and uptime.
• Lead KRAs with heads to optimize manpower, materials, machinery, and utilities.
• Coordinate planning, materials, HR, quality, maintenance, stores, and customer teams to avoid bottlenecks.
• Oversee material planning, inventory costs, waste reduction, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure 5S, PPE, and safe, clean shop floor with proper documentation and governance.
• Uphold QMS/EMS guidelines; lead plant review meetings for continuous improvement.

Ltd. is seeking a highly competent, strategic, and results-driven Production Manager / Manufacturing Head to lead our manufacturing plant operations in Khalapur, Maharashtra. The ideal candidate will take absolute ownership of the plant, driving operational excellence across production, planning, quality, resource optimization, and shop-floor safety.

Role & responsibilities

• End-to-End Plant Operations: Direct and monitor daily plant performance to consistently achieve targets across production volume, strict quality parameters, operational costs, delivery timelines, and overall equipment/plant efficiency.
• Strategic Leadership & KRA Monitoring: Supervise all reporting functional heads. Establish, track, and review Key Result Areas (KRAs) to ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, machinery, and utilities.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Synchronize workflows closely with Planning, Materials, HR, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Customer Coordination teams to eradicate bottlenecks and guarantee uninterrupted production cycles.
• Resource & Inventory Management: Oversee material planning, minimize inventory carrying costs, eliminate shop-floor wastage, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and tool calibration to guarantee maximum uptime.
• Floor Compliance & Safety: Enforce the continuous availability of technical blueprints, standard operating tooling, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Maintain an immaculate workspace by championing 5S, safety protocols, and housekeeping.
• System Compliance & Governance: Implement and maintain the guidelines of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS/IMS). Host regular plant review meetings to spearhead corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Graduate or Diploma Holder in Mechanical, Production, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years of total experience in the engineering/manufacturing sector, with 5 to 7 years specifically within the Production Department of a Sheet Metal product manufacturing company at a senior leadership level.
• Technical Skills:
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of sheet metal machinery, including CNC Laser sheet cutting, CNC turret punch presses, CNC press brakes, spot welding, and CO2 welding machines.
  • Mastery over production efficiency tracking metrics, cost-control mechanisms, and plant utilization math.
  • Robust understanding of IMS (QMS/EMS) frameworks, industrial safety guidelines, and standard manufacturing statutory compliances.
• Soft Skills: Outstanding decision-making capabilities, exceptional problem-solving aptitude, and command-driven leadership skills to direct large cross-functional teams.
