Job summary

NDR Auto Components Limited (NACL) in Haryana seeks Manufacturing Head (Senior Manager) to lead sheet metal plant operations, including press shop, welding, robotics, and assembly, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.

You will drive lean manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, and 5S programs, optimize OEE, manage production planning with PPC, and push continuous improvement across all manufacturing functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree in mechanical/production/manufacturing fields.
• 15-20 years of experience in sheet metal or automotive manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and lean manufacturing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations across press shop, weld shop, robotics, and assembly.
• Develop and execute production plans to meet delivery commitments.
• Drive continuous improvement, safety, quality, and cost reduction.
• Coordinate with PPC for production scheduling and capacity planning.
• Implement TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and Poka-Yoke to eliminate waste and improve OEE.

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage end-to-end manufacturing operations of the Sheet metal plant supplying Frame for 4 wheeler Seats by driving operational excellence across Press Shop, Weld Shop, Robotic Welding, and Assembly operations. The role is responsible for ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity, and Continuous Improvement while achieving customer requirements and business objectives through efficient resource utilization and lean manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Operations

• Lead overall manufacturing operations across Press Shop, Weld Shop, Robotic Welding, and Assembly.
• Develop and execute production plans to achieve customer delivery commitments.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and production capacity.
• Monitor daily production performance and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
• Drive production efficiency while maintaining quality standards.

Press Shop

• Manage progressive, transfer, and tandem press operations.
• Improve machine utilization, productivity, and die changeover through SMED practices.
• Monitor tooling performance and coordinate preventive maintenance of dies.
• Ensure availability of raw material and uninterrupted production.

Weld Shop & Robotics

• Lead robotic and manual welding operations.
• Ensure robotic programming optimization and cycle time improvements.
• Monitor welding quality parameters and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for robot health, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve productivity and consistency.

Production Planning & Execution

• Coordinate closely with PPC for production scheduling.
• Ensure adherence to production plans while minimizing downtime.
• Monitor daily production reports and KPIs.
• Manage capacity planning for new programs and customer demand fluctuations.

Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement:

• Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, and Visual Management.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Lead cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Eliminate manufacturing waste using Lean tools.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience

• 15-20 years of manufacturing experience in the Sheet Metal or Automotive industry.
