Job description

The Production Officer / Executive will be responsible for supervising pharmaceutical production activities, monitoring process parameters, coordinating manpower and materials, maintaining batch records, and ensuring compliance with GMP and SOPs. This requires strong production knowledge, documentation accuracy, shop-floor discipline, and coordination with QA, QC, warehouse, and engineering teams. The candidate will support timely batch execution while maintaining product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

• Supervise daily production activities as per production plan and approved batch records.
• Ensure manufacturing processes are performed according to GMP, SOPs, and safety requirements.
• Monitor process parameters such as time, temperature, pressure, speed, weight, and yield.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and production resources for smooth batch execution.
• Verify material availability, equipment readiness, area cleanliness, and line clearance before batch start.
• Review batch manufacturing records, logbooks, checklists, and production documentation for accuracy.
• Identify and report production deviations, equipment issues, yield variations, and process abnormalities.
• Coordinate with QA, QC, warehouse, maintenance, and engineering teams for production support.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, storage, and movement of raw materials and intermediates.
• Train operators and workers on SOPs, safety practices, documentation, and shop-floor discipline.
• Maintain hygiene, safety, housekeeping, and contamination control standards in production areas.
• Monitor manpower utilization, downtime, rejection, wastage, and production performance.
• Prepare daily production reports, shift summaries, and batch status updates for management.
• Support process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement initiatives.
• Ensure assigned production targets are achieved without compromising quality or compliance.
