Companion Placements in India seeks an experienced garment manufacturing leader to drive production planning, line balancing and cross‑functional supervision across Cutting, Sewing, Finishing and Packing to meet tight deadlines.

The role focuses on strategic production planning, optimized workforce allocation, safety adherence for Flame Resistant garments, and leading a large cross‑functional team toward cost efficiency, on-time delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in garment manufacturing.
• At least 5 years in a managerial position.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily, weekly and monthly production schedules with line balancing.
• Meet production volumes in alignment with shipment deadlines; monitor efficiency.
• Track line-by-line output hourly to maintain seamless workflow and WIP.
• Streamline movement across Cutting, Sewing, Finishing and Packing; address bottlenecks.
• Maximize standard-hour output while minimizing overtime costs.
• Assign personnel using Standard Allowed Minutes (SAM) and skill matrices; review stranded reports.
• Balance assembly lines to ensure steady workflow.
• Conduct daily line assessments to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Reduce waste: idle hours, waiting, handling losses, downtime.
• Maximize asset utilization; ensure on-time delivery.
• Monitor WIP aging to prevent stagnation.
• Review critical garment styles daily.
• Collaborate with Planning, Merchandising, IE and QA to prevent shipment delays.

• Process Flow: Streamline movement across Cutting, Sewing, Finishing and Packing departments. Attend to bottle neck and problem solving

• Cost Control: Maximize standard-hour output while minimizing unnecessary overtime costs. Attend critical operations
• Resource Allocation: Assign personnel strategically using Standard Allowed Minutes (SAM) and skill matrices. Off stranded report review

• Line Balancing: Balance assembly lines to ensure steady, uninterrupted workflow.

• Performance Reviews: Conduct daily line assessments to instantly identify and resolve operational bottlenecks.

• Waste Reduction: Decrease idle hours, waiting periods, handling losses and machine downtime.

• Asset Utilization: Maximize operator and machinery utility rates.
• On-Time Delivery: Ensure all customer orders ship strictly on or before the committed dates.
• WIP Monitoring: Track Work-In-Progress (WIP) aging to prevent stagnation.

• Style Tracking: Review critical garment styles daily.

• Interdepartmental Synergy: Collaborate with Planning, Merchandising, Industrial Engineering (IE) and Quality Assurance (QA) to proactively prevent shipment delays.

Preferred candidate profile

Oversee and drive the garment manufacturing process to consistently achieve production, quality, delivery and cost efficiency targets. This role focuses on strategic production planning, optimized workforce allocation, line balancing and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensures strict adherence to safety standards and client specifications for Flame Resistant (FR) garments while leading a large cross-functional supervisory team.

Minimum 15 years of experience in garment manufacturing, including at least 5 years in a managerial position.
