About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at our food manufacturing facility in Bangalore.

The ideal candidate must have hands‑on production experience specifically in the manufacturing of seasonings and sauces, or wet and dry ingredient experience, experience only in general food manufacturing, FMCG, bakery, dairy, beverages, or other food categories will not be considered for this position.

The role will be responsible for end‑to‑end plant operations, including production planning and execution, productivity, quality, safety, manpower, warehouse coordination, maintenance, inventory control, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day production and manufacturing operations.
• Prepare production plans and ensure timely execution against business requirements.
• Monitor plant efficiency, productivity and operational performance metrics.
• Ensure products are manufactured within defined quality parameters.
• Drive optimum utilization of raw materials, machinery and manpower.
• Coordinate closely with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Purchase, R&D, Costing and other cross‑functional teams.
• Ensure effective implementation of Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
• Manage production manpower, including deployment, training, performance management and grievance resolution.
• Coordinate with Plant Maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
• Reduce in‑process losses, material wastage and inventory variances.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives at the shop‑floor level.
• Manage warehouse operations and coordinate outbound logistics.
• Work with manpower contractors to ensure adequate staffing, attendance and statutory/legal compliance.
• Create and maintain relevant ERP master data, routes and cost roll‑ups.
• Take timely decisions regarding production plans and allocation of machinery/manpower based on resource availability.
• Effectively manage operational challenges related to changing customer requirements, raw‑material availability and manpower constraints.

What We’re Looking For

• 10–15 years of overall manufacturing/production experience.
• Mandatory: Proven hands‑on experience in production/manufacturing of seasonings and sauces.
• Experience managing shop‑floor operations and production teams.
• Strong understanding of production planning, productivity, quality and plant efficiency.
• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Ability to manage cross‑functional teams and plant stakeholders.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Experience in manpower management and contractor coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and reduce production losses.
• Strong communication, leadership and people‑management skills.

Important Eligibility Criteria

Candidates without direct production experience in BOTH/ANY of the relevant Seasonings and Sauces manufacturing categories should not apply.

This is a category‑specific manufacturing role, and relevant experience in seasonings/sauces production is a mandatory requirement.
