Job summary

Dusad Agrofood in Jaipur seeks an experienced Production Manager with 10+ years in spices and masala manufacturing. The role oversees grinding, blending, processing, and masala formulation, and leads a full production team to ensure quality and consistency.

The candidate will manage day-to-day production, ensure product quality, meet targets, and optimize manpower, materials and processes on the floor, with a focus on hygiene, food safety and safety practices.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager with 10+ years of hands‑on experience in spices and masala manufacturing. The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of spice grinding, blending, processing and masala formulation, along with proven experience in developing and standardizing recipes and independently managing a complete production team. The person will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day production, ensuring consistent product quality, achieving production targets and efficiently managing manpower, raw materials and production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete day‑to‑day production of spices, masalas and blended spice products.
• Develop, set and standardize recipes/formulations for different spice and masala products.
• Have strong practical knowledge of spices, their characteristics, proportions, blending and processing requirements.
• Supervise and manage the complete production team, including machine operators and workers.
• Plan and execute production according to orders, stock requirements and production schedules.
• Oversee cleaning, grinding, sieving, blending and packing processes.
• Ensure consistency in taste, aroma, colour, texture and quality of every batch.
• Ensure accurate weighing and implementation of approved formulations and batch recipes.
• Monitor raw material consumption and control wastage and production losses.
• Identify and resolve production, formulation and process‑related issues.
• Coordinate with Quality, Purchase, Packing and Management teams for smooth operations.
• Maintain production records, batch details, raw material consumption and other necessary documentation.
• Train, supervise and manage production staff to maintain productivity and discipline.
• Ensure proper hygiene, cleanliness, food safety and safety practices on the production floor.
• Ensure production targets are achieved within the required quality, quantity and timelines.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in spices/masala manufacturing or food processing.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of spice grinding, blending and masala manufacturing.
• Proven experience in developing, setting and standardizing spice/masala formulations.
• Strong understanding of raw material quality and its effect on the final product.
• Experience managing and leading a complete production team.
• Ability to independently handle production planning and execution.
• Good knowledge of commercial‑scale spice processing, grinding and blending machinery.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting ability.
• Good manpower management and leadership skills.
• Basic knowledge of production records, batch sheets and raw material consumption.

Candidates with experience in manufacturing products such as:

Experience in a branded spices/masala manufacturing company will be an added advantage.
