Qualifications

0-1 years of experience in food production management or R&D in a reputed food ingredient company.

Responsibilities

Develop and improve food production processes, with a focus on ongoing products.
Assist with washing, cutting, and preparing raw materials according to recipes and quality standards.
Operate and maintain production machinery, such as mixers, blenders, or packaging equipment, under supervision.
Assist with stocking and rotating ingredients, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring timely replenishment.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to food safety protocols, and reporting any hazards or issues.
Assist with various daily tasks in food production, such as labeling, packaging, and preparing products for shipment, while supporting the Production Manager.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Assistant to join our team to organize and oversee the manufacturing of goods and assist to Production Manager. The Production Assistant will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output. You will be also responsible for developing and improving our food production processes, with a particular focus on mango and lemon related products. The ideal candidate will have at least 0-1 years of experience in the food industry and a deep understanding of food science and technology.

Job Location- Bidyanagar, Mahura, Janla, Bhubaneswar

Job Type- Full Time

Contract Period - 1 year (The service confirmation will be depending upon the performance appraisal)

Working Hour- 9.30 am to 5.30 pm (8 hours) (It may be stretched up to 10 hours as per the emergency requirement of the organization)

Holidays- As per the organization Calendar

Remuneration- During the one-year service period, remuneration shall

commensurate with experience & knowledge. Upon successful completion of the service, candidates may be offered a regular position with a specified job role, subject to performance appraisal results. The salary is negotiable based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities: (KRA)

Documenting production data, such as batch sizes, ingredient usage, and production times.

Collaborating with other production team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Reporting any issues or problems to supervisors.

Assisting with other tasks as needed to support the overall production process.

Comply with all company and manufacturing unit policies and procedures.

Conduct trials and be responsible for the new and existing product development in the lab.

Conduct research and experiments to improve product quality and shelf life.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Look for cost reduction strategies.

Organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.

Supervising and managing the work of junior staff.

Deal with any customer complaint investigations or product issues.

Responsible for sample stock keeping as well as providing samples to the customers for trial purpose.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in food science and technology.

Maintain data in excel with respect to requests from the sales team, raw materials quantity, customer details, dispatch details etc.

Educational Qualifications:

BSc./MSc./B.tech in food science/food technology/home science or related field from a reputed college/university.

Certification in ISO/ FSSAI/ HACCP/GMP and other food safety regulations preferred or any other certifications related to food industry will be a plus.

Experience Required:

Minimum 0-1 years of experience in food production management and R&D function/ application development lab of a reputed food ingredient organization.
